Silver Falls State Park

13 December 2017

We spent last weekend in Silverton, Oregon and on Saturday afternoon we went to Silver Falls State Park. It was cold, but sunny and dry and beautiful. We did a small hike to the south falls and were captivated by the beauty of the mist and fog with splashes of sunlight around the falls themselves.

A view of a waterfall through the small trunks of two trees covered with moss. Behind the waterfall are rocks that are wet and covered with moss and the water is falling into a pool that has a large white churning area where it lands. Above the waterfall you can see the trunks of trees, tightly packed together.
