FO Friday: Stella Quilt Cushion

I've been finishing things over the past month but I've been terrible about taking photos and getting them up on this site. I decided to try and make something other than a garment or accessory this summer and I succeeded! This is the Stella Quilt Cushion by Laura Penrose. We bought a new couch last fall and I absolutely hate the throw pillows that came with it, so I wanted to replace them. I also wanted something where I wouldn't have as much fabric on my lap during the heat of summer and this fit the bill for that. The one caveat with it is it's a large pillow, not bad, but I guess I didn't really think about what 20 inches square size actually was before diving in. I used Sandnes Garn Double Sunday in the colors Putty and Red. I'm already thinking about making another one with different colors and possible tweaking my gauge a bit to get a smaller size cushion as I've seen a few other folks do on Ravelry.
