FO Friday: Comfort Core Socks
It’s summer and the weather has heated up in southern Oregon. Summer, as far as my knitting goes, means I knit a lot of smaller items, like these socks. I’ve knit a lot of socks over the years and finally really understand what fits my foot so I convert most patterns to work with my preferred construction and sizing. These are the Comfort Core Socks by Summer Lee. I modified them to be toe up rather than cuff down and knit a fleegle heel, my favorite heel construction. I was intrigued by this pattern because I wasn’t sure if I would like the texture that’s meant to mimic an athletic sock but I wanted to try it. I love it. The band around the instep is so great and I’ll defintely make this pattern again, possibly subbing in a different texture before and after the arch support band. The yarn is by Pigment and Ply in colorway La Primavera which I picked up at Shop La Mercerie last January.
