A glimpse of the moon

Lately, be it on my daily walks or as I move around the house, I've been trying hard to notice the small things. The other day as I was opening the house up for the day, putting down shades to let the sun in and turning up the heat, I saw the moon. It was a quick glimpse and then I processed how cool it was to see it through one of our higher windows in our dining room. I look up a lot these days and watched Venus rise this past week above the hills to the SSW. Each time I notice things like this I'm grateful to live with an amateur astronomer.
